Introducing WP Xform: Our Open-Source WordPress Plugin

We're pleased to announce the release of WP Xform, our open-source WordPress plugin that brings XForm's image optimization directly to your WordPress site.

Images are often the heaviest assets on a WordPress page, and optimizing them manually doesn't scale. WP Xform handles it automatically - transforming image URLs at runtime to serve optimized, modern formats through XForm's CDN. It also generates branded OG images for social sharing, pulling from your featured images and SEO plugin data.

The Key Idea: Nothing Changes in Your Database

WP Xform doesn't touch your stored content. Every URL transformation happens at runtime as pages are served to visitors. Your database, your media library, your posts - they all stay exactly as they are.

Disable the plugin and you're instantly back to your standard WordPress setup. No cleanup, no broken references, no database entries to revert. Low risk, low admin, really fast.

A Quiet, Focused Setup

The plugin settings sit discreetly under Settings > WP Xform - no extra noise in an already busy admin menu. Enter your XForm URL, enable image transformation, and you're done. There's a built-in connection test so you can verify everything works before going live.
